A small reset for simplicity’s sake
Long time no type. Wow – it’s been almost two months since I last posted something and that is not very Web 2.0 friendly. These days if you’re socially-connected through Facebook or Twitter and don’t post something every few days or hours, people start to get worried about you. But since I never hopped on those trains (and don’t plan to), I feel that a blog is my way of compromise. So the sporadic nature of my posts is just how this blog will roll…even if I would like to be updating more frequently.
Tunbridge World’s Fair, Tunbridge, VT (9.2007)
When I started this blog, I merely wanted a forum with which to share the happenings of my life in Portland, Oregon with friends and family, as well as a place to share my thoughts on random things from time-to-time. As I state in the header to the website, I’m ‘exploring the broad perspectives and strengthening the foundations of simplicity.’ Funny thing was, though, that I ended up having a lot of fun building the blog and it ended up being anything but simple! There were too many sections to continually update, too much happening on the front page, and it was therefore fairly difficult to navigate. So to make it more user-friendly from the readers end, as well as my end, I’ve dropped the news section, removed the hot list, eliminated the links and incorporated the ramblings section directly into my posts (you’ll see some new ones added with older dates).
I hope you find these changes make the blog a bit more approachable and easier to read!
